So many people are running auctions of ebay and other online auction sites, but they are not giving their titles the consideration they need.

My husband got a smoking hot deal on a dent puller for doing body work on cars.  The item was labelled as a welder, instead of what it actually was.  Here are some tips for getting people to actually look at the items you are listing on your auctions.

1. Put the item name/number in the title.  If you have a television for sale, put the brand name and model number into your headline.  Tons of people search the web this way, and ebay auctions pop up in the Google search results.

2. Do some research if you aren’t sure what you have.  I know it takes a little time, but there are items floating around that look like junk, but people will pay hundreds of dollars for them.  A little research goes a long way, and you can get your title to be more accurate.

3. Spell check!  That’s right, I know many people hate to do it, but it only takes a minute and it will help people find your auction.

Good luck with your online auctions.  There is still a huge opportunity to help people find what they are looking for, and make some nice money in the process.
